IAT Insurance Group is hiring an Associate Underwriter for the Aviation unit, with offices in Alpharetta, GA or Scottsdale, AZ. The role kicks off a structured program to build underwriting skills through mentoring and hands-on experience.

Hybrid work schedule—in-office Mon–Wed with remote Thu–Fri—offers exposure to risk evaluation, pricing decisions, and agency relationship management as you launch your underwriting career.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate information to determine risk acceptability and pricing.
• Make underwriting decisions based on evaluation of data.
• Communicate underwriting and pricing decisions with agents.
• Document decisions per unit practices and regulatory standards.
• Build relationships with agency personnel and internal staff.
• Respond promptly to inquiries and requests.
• Drive new business opportunities to assigned agents.
• Support with reporting and project tasks.
