Job summary

Purpose of Position

Plans, directs, and coordinates activities of designated programs to ensure that goals or objectives of programs are accomplished within prescribed time frame and funding parameters. Will manage more complex programs and may manage lower level Program Managers.

Tasks And Responsibilities
  • Performs independently; recognized as a resource to others: able to translate complex nuances to others; able to improve processes; focus on broad issues.
  • Provides training to department members when required.
  • Provides guidance to less senior Teammates in the department.
  • Trains and mentors to other Teammates as required.
  • Establishes program plan, budget, and staffing needs for each phase of assigned program(s) and works with managers and supervisors for proper assignment of program personnel.
  • Reviews labor and material expenditures and manages program budget.
  • Reviews progress payments.
  • Confers with program staff to outline work plan and to assign duties, responsibilities, and scope of authority.
  • Directs and coordinates activities of program personnel in support of program quality, schedule, and budget.
  • Reviews status reports prepared by program personnel and modifies schedules or plans as required.
  • Prepares program reports for management, customer, or other stakeholders.
  • Works with stakeholders to resolve issues and mitigate risks.
  • Coordinates program activities with regulatory authorities or other governmental agencies.
  • Supports published Quality Management System (QMS) and Business Processes.
Minimum Education

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Business preferred; PMP certification is required

Minimum Experience
  • 10 years’ relative experience
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
  • Requires specialized knowledge and or ability to accomplish highly advance level tasks.
  • Knowledge and expertise for this level usually results from internal progressive experience.
  • Microsoft Word, Excel, Project, Windows and Outlook.
Physical Demands and Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit. The employee frequently is required to talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
