Job summary

Amentum is seeking a seasoned Tool & Die Maker to plan, lay out, and machine precision tooling and dies. Responsibilities include selecting materials, reading blueprints, and performing heat treatment to achieve required tolerances.

Qualified candidates will have 5+ years of Tool & Die experience, familiarity with CNC software, and the ability to work with minimum supervision. Must be able to pass a respirator test and lift 50+ pounds. US citizenship required.

Qualifications

• Requires five years of work experience in Tool & Die Making.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Ability to communicate effectively and work well as a team member.
• Must provide own tools/toolbox with minimum list as per selection.

Responsibilities

• Plan and lay out work according to models, blueprints, drawings, or specifications.
• Select and use materials/tools/processes based on metals/alliage properties.
• Perform shop computations and set up/operate machine tools and related equipment.
• Use hand tools and precision measuring instruments to achieve tight tolerances; heat-treat parts and assemblies as required.
• Fit and assemble parts to prescribed tolerances and allowances.
• Perform additional duties as requested.
