Job summary

Garmin is seeking a full-time Aviation Systems Engineering Support Specialist at our U.S. headquarters in the Greater Kansas City area.

The role focuses on coordinating technical issue troubleshooting, generating and maintaining system documentation, and handling integrated flight deck software loading and test execution. You will work with systems and programs engineers to resolve issues, prepare data from flight tests, and support multiple programs with HW and ECO changes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree AND 2 years in aviation OR 5 years relevant work experience.
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Strong written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Driven problem solver with time management and follow-up skills.

Responsibilities

  • Lead generation and maintenance of technical documentation, LRU library and data packages.
  • Coordinate troubleshooting and software loading/testing on integrated avionics systems.
  • Define format and develop data from flight logs for clear reporting.
  • Coordinate with production and project engineers to ensure hardware needs are met.
  • Lead creation of draft Software Change Impact Analysis material and ECO coordination.
  • Conduct market research on competitive products and potential new opportunities.
