Job summary

Honeywell Aerospace in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a software process professional to develop and optimize software development processes, collaborate across teams, and drive CPI initiatives to improve quality, efficiency, and cost. You will document designs, ensure compliance with DO-178 and other standards, and provide technical guidance on software development processes.

The role reports to the Director of Engineering and operates on a hybrid schedule after an initial onsite period, with 3 days on

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics
2+ years of experience with supporting software engineering efforts from development or process perspective
Experience with structured software development processes and tools

Responsibilities

Develop and optimize software development processes to improve quality, efficiency and productivity.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate process design into development operations across multiple development teams.
Identify and implement process improvements to reduce costs and enhance product quality.
Ensure compliance with software development principles, Honeywell Aerospace processes, data driven quality analysis & compliance, and regulatory standards.
Provide technical support and direction for software development processes.
Conduct process deployment, evaluation, and analyses to identify areas for improvement (CPI).
Document process designs, specifications, and procedures.
