Job summary

Vista Global Holding in Columbus, OH, is seeking an entry-level Electronics Technician to support flight simulators and training devices. You will work hands-on with electrical, hydraulic and sub-system components, with experienced colleagues guiding you as you learn and grow in aviation technology.

Ideal candidates have an associate degree in electronics or military/civilian electronics training, up to 3 years of electronics experience, and a solid grasp of schematic diagrams.

Qualifications

• An associate degree in electronics, or completion of a civilian or military electronics technical school (preferred)
• Up to 3 years’ experience in electronics or a related technical field — military experience counts
• Confidence reading system prints and schematics, with a solid grasp of analog and digital theory
• Soldering and circuit board repair skills
• Experience with test equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, signal generators and logic analyzers (a plus)
• Good PC skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Flexibility to work shifts and adapt to changing schedules

Responsibilities

• Maintain, troubleshoot and repair simulators and FTDs, including electrical, sub‑system and hydraulic components
• Carry out configuration changes and modifications, then test and confirm everything is working as it should
• Monitor simulator performance to keep it in line with regulatory requirements
• Support Qualification Test Guide (QTG) tasks and follow our Quality Operating Procedures
• Recommend the parts and materials needed to keep devices in top condition
• Spot and report safety hazards as part of our Safety Management System
