Job summary

West Star Aviation in Chattanooga, TN is seeking a Sheet Metal Technician to join our MRO team. You will work on turbine aircraft structures, read blueprints, and perform fabrication and assembly of airframe components.

This role may involve supervising crews and setting priorities for projects while maintaining compliance with FAA guidelines. You will need basic to advanced knowledge of sheet metal processes, fastening systems, and related procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• A&P license preferred for the role.
• Experience with sheet metal in aviation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic sheet metal operations such as drilling, riveting, cutting on airframe and components.
• Application and removal of sealant, sound deadening and finish materials.
• Maintenance, cleaning and repair of shop facilities, equipment and tooling.
• Basic computer skills to navigate electronic training, manuals, and maintenance databases.
• Communicate in English.
• Any other job-related duties assigned by supervisor or management.
