Textron Aviation is hiring a Sheet Metal Technician for Indianapolis, IN, offering multiple shifts. You will fabricate, assemble, install and repair sheet metal parts for general aviation aircraft. Set up and operate fabricating machines, shape metal using various tools, and ensure smooth joints and surfaces.

The role involves project planning, layout, riveting, metal fabrication, and hole preparation. A minimum of 2 years in aviation sheet metal is required; knowledge of FAA AC 43.13-1B and

Qualifications

2+ years diversified aviation sheet metal experience required.
Familiarity with FAA AC 43.13-1B and aircraft structure repair manuals helpful.

Responsibilities

Project planning: determine requirements, scope, sequences from blueprints and instructions.
Sheet metal layout: lay out and alter parts per blueprints and drawings.
Riveting and removal: rivet and remove sheet metal components using rivet guns and squeeze tools.
Metal fabrication: bend, form, drill metals with precision.
Hole preparation: countersinking, dimpling, deburring holes and cut lines.
