The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey is seeking a Manager, Safety & Regulatory Compliance with extensive FAR Part 139 knowledge to lead regulatory, certification, safety and emergency management initiatives across our five airport system. The role reports to the Assistant Director, Aviation Department and oversees certification, safety, and SMS programs.

• Bachelor's degree in Aviation Management or related field; minimum five (5) years of regulatory and airport operational experience/Part 139 operations at a commercial service airport.
• Master’s degree and relevant certifications are desirable (e.g., Part 139, AAAE, NIMS).
• Demonstrated leadership capability with ability to develop and motivate staff.

Responsabilidades

• Lead the division in Aviation Operations to achieve outstanding FAR Part 139 inspections and maintain ACM and FAA Advisory Circular compliance.
• Manage audits of day-to-day airport activities to ensure Part 139 compliance.
• Oversee the Airport Rules and Regulations program and coordinate updates/changes.
• Represent the organization at industry meetings and influence national standards.
• Oversee Part 139 training including ARFF, wildlife, and driver training records management.
• Review annual certification results and plan remediation and continuous improvement.
• Manage a team of certification and safety experts to meet stakeholder needs.
• Schedule and facilitate quarterly Director’s Operations and Maintenance Roundtable.
