Placements24 is seeking a highly experienced Senior Aviation Safety Officer to oversee safety across operations in Welkom. You will lead the SMS, audits, and incident investigations to uphold regulatory compliance and a strong safety culture.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Aviation Management or related field, 7+ years in aviation safety, and proven SMS experience. Certification is desirable. Excellent analytical and report-writing skills are essential.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Aviation Management or related field.
7+ years in aviation safety or risk management.
Experience developing and implementing Safety Management Systems (SMS).
In-depth knowledge of national and international aviation safety regulations.
Certification in aviation safety management desirable.

Responsibilities

Develop, implement, and manage the company's SMS.
Conduct audits, inspections, and risk assessments across all operations.
Investigate aviation incidents and determine root causes with corrective actions.
Develop and deliver safety training for all personnel levels.
Monitor aviation safety regulations and ensure compliance.
Prepare safety reports and present findings to management and regulators.
