Job summary

Safran Group in Los Angeles is seeking an experienced Repair Technician II to perform maintenance and alterations on civil aviation articles in accordance with FAA data and industry standards. The role involves inspections, troubleshooting multi-voltage systems, and hands-on electrical work supporting aerospace manufacturing.

Responsibilities include documenting repair progress, using ERP/Sentry File for documentation, and active participation in QRQC and team meetings.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with electrical schematics, blueprints, and manuals.
• Practical experience working with electrical systems and equipment.
• Strong problem solving/critical thinking skills to troubleshoot multi-voltage systems.
• Soldering of fine wiring.
• Ability to use fine precision tools, fixtures, testing apparatus.
• J-STD and IPC Experience

Responsibilities

• Provides verbal and written status of repair progress
• Applies and handles sealants and adhesives
• Performs complex acceptance test procedures utilizing specific test equipment
• Keeps assigned areas organized and clean in accordance to required standards such as 5S
• Ability to read and comprehend written process specification documents
• Participates and supports regular team meetings such as QRQC and stand-up
• Provides on-the-job training in manufacturing and test methods to Assemblers, Technicians and ATP Operators
• Ability to utilize ERP system for daily transactions such as recording labor hours, closing operations
• Ability to utilize Sentry File to access engineering documents such as drawings, ATP, ATR
• Ability to utilize work instructions software such as Pro Works
• Ability to read and comprehend schematics and work instructions
• Perform work in a safe manner per Environment, Health & Safety requirements
• Support continuous improvement activities such as shadow boards, re-layout area
• Perform preventative maintenance as directed on tools, tooling and equipment
• Ability to support other operations areas as needed and directed by Supervisors/Managers
