Job summary

Amazon’s Worldwide Aviation Legal team seeks an experienced aviation attorney to guide regulatory, commercial, and operational matters for Amazon Air and Prime Air. You will work with cross-functional partners to shape strategy, ensure regulatory compliance, and enable rapid innovation.

You will advise on FAA and international aviation rules, draft commercial agreements, and help expand into new geographies while leveraging AI-driven workflows to improve legal services. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of post-bar admission legal experience.
• Experience in aviation regulatory compliance.
• Experience engaging with government aviation regulators (e.g., FAA, TSA) in a legal or compliance capacity.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic legal counsel to cross-functional stakeholders across Amazon Air and Prime Air on regulatory, commercial, and operational matters in a fast-paced, highly ambiguous environment.
• Advise on aviation regulatory compliance (FAA/safety, dangerous goods, aviation security) and international regulatory requirements, supporting certification and ongoing compliance.
• Draft, negotiate, and manage commercial agreements.
• Monitor and analyze evolving aviation regulations and policy developments across markets, translating changes into actionable guidance.
• Support expansion into new geographies by advising on regulatory frameworks and cross-border considerations.
• Develop scalable legal playbooks and self-service resources for rapid business movement with managed risk.
• Embrace AI-powered legal tools and workflows to improve service delivery.
