Job summary

Pegasus Aviation Services, an Akima company, in Alaska seeks a Ramp Trainer to lead new-hire development and keep staff compliant with safety and regulatory training. This technical service role features a variable work routine and reports to the Training Manager.

You will train, audit, and maintain training records, develop materials, conduct testing, and deliver reports to Supervisors. Strong computer skills, public speaking ability, and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift 30–50 lb unassisted.
• Must be comfortable with public speaking and presenting material to large groups.
• Must be able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to maintain a professional demeanor in a regulated atmosphere.
• U.S. citizenship or right to work in the U.S. required.
• Minimum high school diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Train and develop incoming employees for indoctrination, recurrent and on-the-job technical and safety training and update training record databases.
• Audit and ensure all contract SOPs are adhered to.
• Assist in implementing and monitoring training programs within the organization.
• Develop and distribute training materials and multimedia visual aids.
• Conduct testing and evaluation processes and provide training reports to Supervisors and Management.
• Communicate training compliance to employees within the assigned area.
• Other duties as assigned by Manager.
