Job summary

Pursuit Aerospace in Manchester, CT, is seeking an Inspector I to perform all required inspections in the manufacturing of precision machined components. This on-site role is a 2nd shift position with core hours 3:30 PM - 12:00 AM. The ideal candidate will have a High School Diploma or equivalent, 0-2 years of related inspection experience, and be eligible to work in the U.S.

without visa sponsorship. Proficiency with inspection tools and blueprints is preferred, with ITAR/EAR compliance.

Qualifications

• Must have HS diploma or equivalent.
• 0-2 years related inspection experience preferred.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis without sponsorship.
• Must be able to work in ITAR/EAR regulated environment.

Responsibilities

• Locate the datums and reference points on castings, forgings and components.
• Inspect parts using mechanical and electronic methods to verify accuracy.
• Mark guidelines for material removal during machining or etching.
• Inspect with floor or machine tools such as VBM, radial drills, lasers, water jet, lathes.
• Conduct bench inspection of machined rings, forgings, castings, sub-assemblies and assemblies.
• Perform visual and dimensional inspection of welds prior to fluorescent penetrant testing.
• Write the rework procedure when parts are non-conforming.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
