GE Aerospace in Michigan is seeking a Quality Assurance Technician to own quality assurance and quality control for civil and defense avionics repair, from incoming goods through final release. In this role you will perform Return to Service, support the production floor on inspection and disposition decisions, lead problem solving on nonconformances and returned units, and support regulatory and customer audits.

This position comes with a defined path to certification.

Qualifikationen

• Two years of quality experience with associate degree.
• FAA Repairman Certificate or ability to obtain within 180 days.
• IPC 610 and J-STD certifications after training.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• U.S. citizenship required.
• Ability to work off-shift and weekends.

Aufgaben

• Release and Return to Service for civil and defense avionics units under FAA Repairman Certificate.
• Ensure conformance across incoming goods control, in-process and final inspections.
• Record events in Oracle and Turnback log; open NC records in Tip QA.
• Lead problem solving with Operations on turnbacks and nonconformances; track actions in APPS.
• Investigate units returned from the field and complete the RUI form.
• Support FAA and customer audits with records and process knowledge.
• Apply quality best practices and collaborate with Operations, Engineering, and Supply Chain.
• Manage RFV activity once IPC-A-610 certification is held.
