Job summary

Vista Aircraft Maintenance in Western Wisconsin is seeking a Quality Assurance Inspector to oversee in-process and final inspections and ensure maintenance records support on-time Return to Service (RTS) and compliance with FARs and Repair Station manuals.

You will contribute to process improvements, assist with manual revisions, and help guard against unapproved parts while maintaining training records and vendor audits.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of experience in Part 145 corporate aircraft maintenance.
• Familiarity with Gulfstream (G200, GIV, GV, G650), Cessna 750, Challenger 300/600 series, Global Express and Embraer 135/145 series aircraft is preferred
• 3+ years of supervisory experience
• FAA Airframe & Powerplant license required, Inspection Authorization is a plus
• Strong working knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations
• Experience in working directly with FAA Inspectors
• Above average written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
• Strong computer skills to include MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc
• High school diploma or GED; Technical knowledge; Proficiency in maintenance manuals
• Safety and quality standards
• FAA regulations, Specifically 14 CFR part 145 (Repair Station)

Responsibilities

• Provide technical guidance in aircraft maintenance and inspection techniques and procedures according to manuals, work standards, and policies.
• Perform in-process and final inspections of aircraft.
• Ensure timely and accurate completion of all maintenance records, reports, and forms to ensure on-time RTS.
• Ensure that all maintenance is performed in accordance with applicable FARs, Repair Station and Quality Control Manuals, Operator/Air Carrier Manuals, and safe practices.
• Foster an atmosphere of continuous improvement regarding aircraft maintenance, safe practices, and process improvement.
• Assist with the development and writing of revisions to the Repair Station/Quality Control Manual, SOPs, and Safety Bulletins.
• Assure that procedures used in procurement and reception of aircraft parts guard against unapproved parts entering the system.
• Assist the Chief Inspector with maintaining employee training, vendor audits, and tool calibration requirements.
