Job summary

Mead & Hunt is seeking an Experienced Project Manager for our Aviation team. You will lead aviation project management, oversee civil engineering tasks, and manage budgets, schedules and reports. You will interact with FAA and state agencies, perform QA/QC, and support construction on site as Engineer of Record.

Travel ~20% is required. The ideal candidate has a civil engineering degree (18+ yrs), PE license, PMP, and demonstrated leadership on complex aviation projects, with AutoCAD Civil 3D

Qualifications

• Professional Engineer (PE) license required.

Responsibilities

• Manage aviation projects as the project manager.
• Lead aviation civil engineering tasks.
• Prepare reports, budgets, cost estimates, specifications, plans, schedules, studies and permits.
• Lead client interactions with FAA and government agencies.
• Perform QA/QC tasks.
• Support onsite during construction as Engineer of Record and provide CM/CA to resident teams.
• Travel to FAA Northwest Mountain Region ~20% of time.

Job description

Responsibilities

Mead & Hunt, a nationally recognized professional services consulting firm, is seeking an Experienced Project Manager to join our collaborative and innovative Aviation team.

Responsibilities include:

• Serving as the project manager for aviation projects
• Leading and performing aviation civil engineering tasks
• Preparing reports, budgets, cost estimates, specifications, plans, schedules, studies, and permits
• Leading proactive client interactions and communications with regards to FAA programming, and state and government agencies
• Performing QA/QC tasks
• Supporting onsite during construction as the Engineer of Record, providing construction management/construction administration management to resident engineering teams.
• Travel within the FAA Northwest Mountain Region is required (approximately 20% of time)

A valid driver’s license and good driving record is preferred. A background check may be required.

The successful candidate must have:

• A bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field from an accredited college or university AND at least eighteen (18) years of relevant experience
• PE required

The ideal candidate will have any/all of the following:

• Experience leading complex aviation design and construction projects
• Airport design experience at medium or large hub airports
• Experience serving as the project manager on aviation projects
• PMP certification
• Experience mentoring and leading engineering project teams
• Construction management experience
• Minium two years’ experience at a project manager level
• Licensed civil engineer in Washington, Oregon, or Colorado (or has the ability to obtain state specific license through NCEES)
• Proficient AutoCAD Civil 3D skill set

Salary Range: $155,000 - $206,000 – Actual compensation may vary due to other factors such as: experience, skill set or location.
