Job summary

Mead & Hunt, Inc. seeks an Experienced Project Manager to join our Aviation team. You will manage aviation projects, lead civil engineering tasks, prepare reports, budgets, schedules, and permits, and coordinate with FAA programs and state/government agencies.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor's degree in civil engineering with at least 18 years of relevant experience and a PE license. Travel up to 20% within the FAA Northwest Mountain Region is required; onsite in the Northern Kentucky area is

Qualifications

• Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the project manager for aviation projects and lead aviation civil engineering tasks.
• Prepare reports, budgets, cost estimates, specifications, plans, schedules, studies, and permits.
• Lead client interactions with FAA programming and state/government agencies.
• Perform QA/QC tasks and provide construction management/administration as Engineer of Record onsite.
• Travel within the FAA Northwest Mountain Region is required (about 20%).

Job description

Mead & Hunt, a nationally recognized professional services consulting firm, is seeking an Experienced Project Manager to join our collaborative and innovative Aviation team.

Responsibilities include:

• Serving as the project manager for aviation projects
• Leading and performing aviation civil engineering tasks
• Preparing reports, budgets, cost estimates, specifications, plans, schedules, studies, and permits
• Leading proactive client interactions and communications with regards to FAA programming, and state and government agencies
• Performing QA/QC tasks
• Supporting onsite during construction as the Engineer of Record, providing construction management/construction administration management to resident engineering teams.
• Travel within the FAA Northwest Mountain Region is required (approximately 20% of time)

A valid driver’s license and good driving record is preferred. A background check may be required.

The successful candidate must have:

• A bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field from an accredited college or university AND at least eighteen (18) years of relevant experience
• PE required

The ideal candidate will have any/all of the following:

• Experience leading complex aviation design and construction projects
• Airport design experience at medium or large hub airports
• Experience serving as the project manager on aviation projects
• PMP certification
• Experience mentoring and leading engineering project teams
• Construction management experience
• Minium two years’ experience at a project manager level
• Licensed civil engineer in Washington, Oregon, or Colorado (or has the ability to obtain state specific license through NCEES)
• Proficient AutoCAD Civil 3D skill set

Salary Range: $155,000 - $206,000 – Actual compensation may vary due to other factors such as: experience, skill set or location.
