Job summary

Metric Geo, a respected architecture and planning practice, seeks an Aviation Project Manager / Architect to lead aviation project planning, design and delivery across the United States, with a focus on Columbus.

You will coordinate multidisciplinary teams, manage client relationships from programming through construction administration, and mentor staff while expanding the firm’s aviation capabilities in Columbus and beyond.

Qualifications

• Professional experience within architecture, with strong background in project delivery and design coordination.
• Experience on airport, aviation, transportation or other complex public-infrastructure projects.
• Strong understanding of architectural documentation and the construction process.
• Ability to manage multiple project priorities while maintaining design and technical quality.
• Confident client-facing communication and stakeholder-management skills.
• Proficiency with relevant architectural design and documentation software.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture from an accredited institution.
• Architectural registration is preferred, or the ability to obtain registration.

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, design and delivery of aviation architecture projects.
• Manage projects through programming, design development, construction documentation and construction administration.
• Coordinate internal design teams, engineering consultants, contractors, airport authorities and other project stakeholders.
• Act as a primary point of contact for clients, providing clear communication throughout the project lifecycle.
• Manage project schedules, budgets, staffing requirements and deliverables.
• Oversee the preparation and quality of architectural drawings, specifications and technical documentation.
• Ensure projects meet applicable building codes, aviation standards and client requirements.
• Support and mentor architects, designers and technical staff.
• Assist with proposals, interviews and the development of existing client relationships.
• Help strengthen the firm’s aviation capabilities in Columbus and the wider national market.
