Universal Technical Institute seeks an Aviation Maintenance Instructor with a background in aircraft powerplant systems, including reciprocating and turbine engines. No prior teaching experience is required—we will train you to become an effective instructor.

You will deliver instruction on powerplant systems, guide students through theory and hands-on application, and participate in curriculum development, mentorship, and safety training.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED.
• Bachelor’s degree with aviation maintenance coursework is a plus.
• 5 years of practical work experience in aviation maintenance (reciprocating engines a plus).
• FAA A&P ratings and license valued; employer may pay to obtain if not current.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patient and empathetic teaching style.

Responsabilités

• Inspire and educate: create an engaging learning environment for electrical components.
• Hands-on training: provide practical demonstrations diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing various systems.
• Curriculum development: collaborate with education team to enhance courses and develop new ones.
• Mentorship: guide students on projects and encourage critical thinking.
• Safety first: instill safety procedures and best practices for students.
