Job summary

TAT Technologies Ltd. in Greensboro, NC, is seeking a Chemical Processing Technician for 2nd shift (3:00pm - 11:30pm) to set up, operate and monitor plating processes coating metal parts for aviation applications.

Responsibilities include loading/unloading equipment, monitoring tanks, inspecting plating quality, and mentoring staff. Requires HS diploma; technical schooling helpful; proficiency with ERP systems and MS Office preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required.
• Technical school courses in mechanic or machinist classes advantageous.
• Work independently as well as in teams.
• Read and understand Commercial, FAA, EASA, Repair Station, and ISO documentations.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload electroplating equipment by fastening metal work pieces to devices or loading into baskets/barrels.
• Immerse work pieces in cleaning, plating, pickling, and rinsing tanks per timed cycle.
• Set temperature dials of tanks to prescribed levels.
• Inspect work pieces for plating defects and rough spots.
• Dry plated work pieces; operate oven for drying.
• Use blasting equipment to clean parts (Aluminum oxide, glass beads).
• Mentor and train other personnel.
• Report safety, quality, or unethical actions to supervisor for resolution.
• Operate, maintain and service specialized equipment.
