Job summary

Hanson Professional Services Inc. seeks an Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) Associate Project Manager to lead and support airport planning efforts, with emphasis on integrating eVTOL aircraft, vertiports, and next-generation air mobility systems.

The role will lead master plans, ALPs, and CIP programs for municipal and regional airports, coordinating with FAA representatives, sponsors, and regulators while mentoring staff and growing the aviation market.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Planning, Aviation Management, Civil Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 8+ years of airport planning experience.
• Demonstrated familiarity with AAM concepts including eVTOL and vertiport planning.
• Experience with AutoCAD/Civil 3D and/or ArcGIS.
• Experience in professional engineering consulting industry.
• Strong understanding of FAA Engineering Brief 105B – Vertiport Design.
• Strong understanding of FAA regulations and advisory circulars.
• Proven ability to manage scope, budget, schedule, and client relationships.

Responsibilities

• Lead AAM planning projects for municipal and regional airports and private clients.
• Serve as associate project manager responsible for scope, schedule, budget, and delivery.
• Develop AAM planning initiatives including vertiport siting and feasibility studies.
• Coordinate with airport sponsors, FAA representatives, and regulators.
• Mentor junior staff and contribute to practice growth.
• Prepare and review technical reports, planning documents, proposals, and client presentations.
