Job summary

Landrum & Brown in Chicago is seeking a motivated intern passionate about aviation planning to join our team. This internship offers flexible start dates in January or May and provides hands‑on experience supporting project managers in airport planning projects.

You will work directly with clients on planning, environmental and public meetings, while developing data sets, reports, and presentations under supervision.

Responsibilities

• Develops and maintains electronic data sets and performs data analysis and reporting in tables, charts, and reports.
• Prepares draft reports, presentations, schedules, and other deliverables under guidance from senior staff.
• Provides technical assistance and responds to data requests.

This internship offers flexible start dates in January or May and provides hands‑on experience supporting project managers in the delivery of airport planning projects that meet our clients’ goals.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Works directly with clients on a variety of airport planning, noise abatement, and environmental/sustainability planning.


• Participates and assists in organizing numerous community relations efforts and public meetings.


• Develops and maintains electronic data sets and files and performs data analysis and comprehensive data reporting in a variety of tables, charts, and reports.


• Prepares draft reports, presentations, schedules, meeting materials, and other deliverables based on direction from senior staff as well as individual efforts.


• Provides technical assistance and is responsive to requests for data and information.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Aviation Management or related field of study


• Passion for the Aviation sector


• Highly articulate with strong written and verbal communication skills


• Strong analytical/technical skills


• High levels of integrity, always doing the right thing in an ethical, fair and sustainable way.


• Works well in a team environment.


• Knowledge or interest in the aviation industry and airport operations
