Job summary

Embry-Riddle in Daytona Beach is seeking an Associate Director of Philanthropy to advance the College of Aviation's fundraising strategy. You will engage donors, alumni, industry partners, and campus stakeholders; coordinate events and campus visits; support grant development; maintain donor records in the CRM; and drive annual fund priorities.

The successful candidate is creative, self-motivated, high-energy, detail-oriented, and an outstanding communicator who can qualify and cultivate

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Minimum three years fundraising experience in higher education or nonprofit sector.
• Demonstrated ability to identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward donors at the annual fund level.
• Strong writing, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively across departments with reliable follow-through.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, changing priorities and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Solicitation Strategy: Develop and execute a plan to meet annual fund and major gifts goals, starting with at least $100,000.
• Donor Relations: Cultivate relationships with current and prospective donors through effective communication and follow-up.
• Event Coordination: Plan campus events and tours; manage sponsorship benefits per agreements.
• Grant Writing: Identify opportunities, prepare proposals, and manage applications.
• Database Management: Maintain accurate donor and prospect records in the CRM.
• College Liaison: Coordinate with departments to support philanthropic initiatives.
