Job summary

Kimley-Horn’s Orlando, Florida office is seeking an Aviation Civil Engineer with 4+ years of experience to join the Pavement Engineering team. This on-site role involves developing PMPs and CIPs, collaborating across disciplines, and traveling nationwide for pavement evaluations.

Ideal candidates have a PE license (or ability to obtain within 12 months), strong communication skills, and proficiency in AutoCAD, GIS, PAVER, FAARFIELD, and related pavement tools.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of aviation engineering design experience.
• P.E. license or ability to obtain within 12 months.
• Familiarity with contract document preparation and cost estimating.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to travel approx. 25% of time.
• Experience with pavement evaluation methodologies and software.

Responsibilities

• Develop pavement management programs and CIP for clients.
• Support project managers and collaborate across disciplines.
• Leverage data collection tech to support PMPs/CIPs.
• Travel to project locations nationwide for pavement evaluations.
• Assist airfield and roadway pavement pre-construction design and analysis.
• Produce and QC deliverables using AutoCAD, GIS, PAVER, FAARFIELD.
