Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years in a 911/critical care setting.
• Current EMT-P license/certification for states served.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, trauma certifications required prior to flight status.
• Flight Paramedic-Certified (FP-C) required within 24 months of hire.
• Instructor certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS/PEPP, ITLS/PHTLS preferred.
• NREMT-P certification may be required in assigned area.

Responsibilities

• Complete and submit electronic patient care records for each dispatched flight within required timeframes.
• Perform daily base checks, including narcotic count.
• Provide pre-hospital and intra-hospital ALS care from initial contact through handoff to receiving facility.
• Maintain competency via ongoing laboratory and clinical experiences.
• Document licensure, certifications, CE, safety training, and advanced procedures in Education Manual.
• Maintain aircraft equipment and supply knowledge and routine maintenance.
