Job summary

flyExclusive is seeking an experienced aircraft painter to join our hangar team in North Carolina. This role focuses on painting corporate and commercial aircraft, following FAA regulations and company procedures to deliver high-quality finishes.

You'll prepare surfaces, mix coatings, apply primers and topcoats, and inspect work for defects, working outdoors in varied weather. A strong safety mindset and 5–10 years of jet-paint experience preferred; US work authorization required.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or GED required.
• Possess a valid driver's license and US Passport (preferred).
• At least 5-10 years current corporate jet experience, stripping, sanding, priming and painting corporate or commercial aircraft or the equivalent.
• Must be authorized to work lawfully in the United States without sponsorship.
• Candidates must successfully complete a comprehensive background check prior to employment.
• This position is classified as a Safety-Sensitive role under FAA regulations and is subject to pre-employment and random drug and alcohol testing in accordance with FAA guidelines
• Adhere to all relevant procedures, whether communicated verbally or in writing, when executing assigned responsibilities that involve the utilization of a respirator and undergoing a PFT (pulmonary function test).

Responsibilities

• Prepare aircraft surfaces for painting per masking and surface prep.
• Clean aircraft and ensure surfaces free of contaminants.
• Maintain paint booths and work areas.
• Mix paints, primers, coatings per specs.
• Apply primers and topcoats with proper spray techniques.
• Layout paint schemes and mask trim colors.
• Prepare painted surfaces for trim application.
• Perform detailing and final finish work.
• Inspect paintwork and verify workmanship.
• Identify and correct paint defects.
• Operate and maintain paint equipment.
• Follow FAA, OSHA, environmental and company policies.
• Maintain clean work area and waste disposal.
• Collaborate with Lead Painters and maintenance personnel.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
