Joby Aviation is seeking a detail-oriented Quality Control Inspector for Non-Destructive Testing (NDT), 2nd shift, to perform specialized inspections across composites, metals, and additive manufacturing parts.

You will work with UT, CT, PT, or ET modalities, calibrate equipment, interpret data against drawings, and document findings while ensuring compliance with FAA and NADCAP standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years of practical NDT inspection experience or NAS 410 training.
• Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and material specifications.
• Familiarity with NAS 410, ASNT, ASTM standards.

Responsabilités

• Inspection Execution: perform NDT evaluations on composite structures, metallic components, and additively manufactured parts using UT/CT/PT/ET.
• Equipment Setup & Calibration: set up, calibrate, and standardize NDT equipment and scanning systems.
• Data Interpretation: analyze scanning data, C-scan, 3D CT reconstructions, and compare to drawings and criteria.
• Defect Documentation: log results, generate MRBs when discontinuities exceed limits.
• Method & Technique Support: collaborate with NDT engineers to verify scan plans and assist root-cause investigations.
• Quality Compliance: maintain FAA/NADCAP NAS 410 procedures and QMS adherence.
