PDS Tech Commercial is hiring an Engineer, Methods & Material to join our aviation client's defense operations in Wichita, KS. This role focuses on turning complex designs into efficient manufacturing solutions using CATIA, tooling, and material planning.

You will collaborate with design and manufacturing teams, implement new technologies, and drive projects from concept through implementation in an on-site defense environment. Excellent problem-solving and manufacturing knowledge are essential.

Qualifikationen

• Minimum 5 years of experience in Methods, Material Planning, tool design or manufacturing engineering.
• Experience collaborating with design and methods teams on projects.
• Strong CATIA V4/V5 knowledge for modeling and analysis.
• Experience interpreting 2D and 3D drawings/models.
• Thorough knowledge of aircraft systems and installation locations.
• Solid understanding of manufacturing fundamentals and principles.
• Familiarity with MRP and supply chain concepts.
• Basic project management skills for cross-functional work.
• Strong analytical and creative problem-solving abilities.

Aufgaben

• Define efficient fabrication and assembly methods to meet kit requirements.
• Develop concepts to support interchangeability and replacement needs.
• Evaluate need for new manufacturing equipment and support its use.
• Collaborate with design/methods teams using CATIA for practical tooling solutions.
• Work with 2D/3D drawings and models to support manufacturing.
• Support process improvements by monitoring industry standards and methods.
• Incorporate new technologies into departmental processes and procedures.
• Monitor project workflows and adjust staffing for changing demands.
• Provide technical training and guidance to department personnel.
• Ensure compliance with department and company document control.
• Lead program reviews and cost-reduction initiatives.
