Job summary
PDS Tech Commercial is seeking an Engineer, Methods & Material in Wichita, KS for defense-focused aviation programs. The role emphasizes turning complex designs into practical manufacturing solutions using CATIA, tool design, and materials planning.
You will collaborate with design and manufacturing teams, interpret 2D/3D drawings, and drive process improvements to meet project goals. This is a contract-to-hire, fully onsite position with overtime possible.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years in methods, material planning or related fields.
- Experience with tool design and collaboration with design/methods teams.
- Proficiency in CATIA V4/V5 and 2D/3D drawings.
- Strong knowledge of MRP, supply chain and aircraft systems.
Responsibilities
- Define efficient fabrication and assembly methods.
- Develop concepts for interchangeability and part replacement.
- Evaluate new manufacturing equipment needs and support implementation.
- Collaborate with design/methods teams using CATIA.
- Interpret 2D and 3D drawings and models.
- Support process improvements and certifications.
- Lead reviews and cost-reduction initiatives.
