Job summary

Southwest Airlines is hiring Materials Specialists to work in hangar and warehouse environments. You will manage parts and supplies, deliver to maintenance teams, build storage areas, and assist with shipping, receiving, and inventory tasks. Occasional driving of company vehicles and use of power tools are required.

This role is part of a union-negotiated environment with schedules based on seniority, including early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays. U.S.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read documents, follow instructions, and learn procedures.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment with aircraft-related operations.
• Willingness to work rotating shifts, overtime, weekends, and holidays.
• Must meet training and safety requirements and be physically capable of lifting up to 100 lbs.
• Must be a U.S. citizen or authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Provides friendly service and maintains positive relationships with internal and external Customers.
• Receives, ships, checks, classifies, inventories, stores, and warehouses supplies and equipment; operates stores equipment and maintains records.
• Delivers parts to maintenance and ground operations; assists with stock organization and transportation of tools and materials.
• Assembles stocking bins, shelves, and decks; operates power tools as needed and drives company vehicles.
• Performs other duties as directed by supervisors.
