Job summary

Ascent Aviation Services is seeking a motivated Junior Buyer to join our supply chain team in Marana, AZ. This entry-level role supports material planning and procurement activities crucial to operations, including developing material plans, maintaining lead times, and tracking parts availability.

You will place orders aligned with plans, negotiate pricing, and contribute to vendor performance data while ensuring safety and adherence to company policies.

Qualifications

• Strong organizational and planning skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
• Excellent attention to detail and solid mathematical aptitude.
• Ability to read, write, and comprehend English; follow instructions.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Develop material plans using historical usage, forecasts, inventory policies, to establish min/max levels and schedules.
• Secure and maintain accurate lead times within the system.
• Track parts availability and provide status updates on materials.
• Place purchase orders in line with material plans and arrange staggered deliveries.
• Initiate returns for early or non-conforming receipts with vendors.
