Job summary

Miami Dade College is seeking a Director of Aviation Maintenance Training to lead and grow the AMT program in Florida. The role involves outreach to industry partners, securing educational funding, and ensuring program quality.

The candidate will oversee curriculum development, instructor orientation, and course offerings, while coordinating facilities and resources to support student enrollment and success.

Qualifications

• Must hold a master’s degree (regionally accredited) with 3 years of related aviation experience or a bachelor’s degree (regionally accredited) with 7 years of related aviation experience.
• Must possess Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) license.
• All degrees must be from a regionally accredited institution.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee the Aviation Maintenance Training program, acting as outreach and marketing support to local, state, and national entities.
• Orient instructors to MDC policies and train staff on course offerings and tabloid listings for accurate community information.
• Develop program descriptions reflecting content, goals, and objectives; create course offerings relevant to community needs.
• Develop and implement marketing plans to increase program awareness and student enrollment.
• Coordinate classrooms, room changes, schedules, and ensure accurate course information in Odyssey and MDC systems.
• Manage textbooks, instructional materials, supplies, and related equipment; support instructors with resources.

Education

Master's degree (regionally accredited) with aviation experience

Bachelor's degree (regionally accredited) with aviation experience

Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) license
