Job summary

Samaritan's Purse is seeking an Aviation Maintenance Technician to join the Mission Aviation Services team in Greensboro, NC. The role focuses on maintaining and servicing B767 aircraft to ensure safety and mission readiness across domestic and international assignments.

The position requires FAA A&P certification, a bachelor’s degree, and 7+ years of turbine/jet aircraft experience, with Boeing and avionics knowledge highly valued. Travel 60–90 days/year; competitive benefits included.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field; 7+ years of turbine/jet aircraft maintenance experience.
• FAA A&P certification required; Boeing experience preferred; avionics experience highly desirable.
• Thorough knowledge of FARs, records, and procedures.
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, repairs, and servicing on Samaritan's Purse B767 aircraft per FARs and guidance.
• Troubleshoot discrepancies; document work; coordinate with maintenance personnel and staff to keep aircraft safe and mission-ready.
• Tow, position, and service aircraft; operate Ground Support Equipment per procedures.
• Travel with aircraft as needed and assist with operations at home base and en-route destinations.
• Perform line service, refueling, and cleaning; maintain hangar and equipment.
• Other duties as assigned.
