Job summary

Safran in Carson, California is seeking a maintenance technician responsible for performing maintenance, repair and alteration tasks on civil aviation articles in line with FAA data and manufacturer instructions.

You will read and follow maintenance docs, use appropriate tools, conduct fault finding, and repair water and waste components, maintaining a safe, organized work environment.

Qualifications

• Must perform maintenance, repair and alteration tasks per FAA data and manufacturer instructions.
• Must read and write English and follow the Repair Station Quality Manual.

Responsibilities

• Performs maintenance, repair and alteration tasks on civil aviation articles in accordance with the current technical data provided in the manufacturers' instructions for continued airworthiness, Service Bulletins, Service letters, Airworthiness Directives, government and industry standard practices, and other data acceptable to or approved by FAA
• Understands, reads, and writes English.
• Is proficient in using the tools, equipment, and inspection aids applicable to the scope of work assigned.
• Understands the methods, techniques and practices outlined in the manufacturer's maintenance documents, Airworthiness Directives, Service Bulletins, service letters, specifications, and other data acceptable to or approved by the FAA.
• Understands the procedures set forth in the Repair Station Quality Manual for documenting the work performed.
• Can perform preliminary inspection and fault finding testing.
• Adjusting and repairing, and other general tasks related to the maintenance and repair of water and waste components.
• Repair in a safe and clean work environment
• Repair in accordance to manufacturer's specifications, company approved procedures and customer specifications.
• Keeps assigned areas organized and clean
• Performs other duties as assigned
