Job summary

Banyan Air Service in Fort Lauderdale, FL, is seeking an experienced Aircraft Mechanic with a valid A&P license and at least 5 years of hands-on maintenance for Gulfstream, Challenger, Global, Falcon, Learjet, Citation, PC-12/PC-24, or HondaJet platforms.

Role involves performing repairs, inspections, and part replacements for our Part 145 repair station, with emphasis on safety and adherence to FAA and Banyan manuals. Requires own tools and readiness to travel for AOG maintenance.

Qualifications

• Valid A&P license is required.
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on aircraft maintenance experience.
• Experience with Gulfstream, Challenger, Global, Falcon, Learjet, Citation, Pilatus PC‑12/PC‑24 or HondaJet.

Responsibilities

• Perform aircraft maintenance, repairs and inspections for our Part 145 repair station.
• Follow Banyan Air manuals and FAA procedures and use specified forms and paperwork.
• Maintain required tools and demonstrate proficiency with the work order system.
• Research maintenance task instructions and parts required from manufacturer manuals.
• Identify or tag aircraft components during maintenance or modification.
• Protect aircraft exteriors and interiors prior to work.
• Travel to other locations for maintenance as needed (AOG).
• Maintain a safety-first mindset and perform duties as assigned by Crew Leader or Supervisor.

Position Duties & Responsibilities:

• Perform aircraft maintenance, repairs and inspections to aircraft, engines, and components for our Part 145 repair station
• Have an understanding of the procedures for the repair station, the use of the forms, tags and the required paperwork as outlined in Banyan Air Service's repair station manuals and FAA manuals
• Have the minimum required tools to perform the mechanic duties
• Demonstrate proficiency of the Banyan Air work order system
• Research maintenance task instruction guidance and parts required in manufacturer's maintenance manuals to perform the required tasks
• Identification or tagging of all aircraft components when removed from an aircraft undergoing maintenance or modification
• Protecting aircraft exteriors and interior prior to work commencement
• Ability to travel to and from other locations toconduct aircraft maintenancewhen to necessary, example AOG
• A mindset of Safety First.
• Perform duties as assigned by Crew Leader or Supervisor

Required Education and Experience:

• Valid Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) License required.
• Possess a valid drivers license
• Minimum of 5 years of hands-on aircraft maintenance experience.
• Demonstratesmaintenance history on one or more of the following platforms: Gulfstream, Challenger, Global, Falcon, Learjet, Citation, Pilatus (PC-12/PC-24), or HondaJet.
• Provision of a verified portfolio showcasing completed maintenance projects from the past 5 years.
• Must supply a comprehensive, professional-grade set of personal tools required to perform the responsibilities of the position.
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment DOT drug test

• Strong working knowledge and understanding of the Federal Aviation Regulans and ability to understand manufacturers manuals
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
• Problem solving and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to work in hot and noisy environment
