Qualifications

  • 2-5 years of experience in aircraft maintenance and repairs.
  • Active A&P License required for this position.
  • Familiarity with FAR 135 operations preferred.

Overview

Job Summary

*** $10,000 SIGN ON BONUS, $10,000 ANNUAL LOCATION STIPEND ***

Rotor Experience Highly Preferred!!! Responsible for performing maintenance, repairs, inspections, and alterations of company-operated aircraft and articles as assigned in accordance with Air Methods’ policies and procedures. Ensures company operational goals and objectives are met, while guaranteeing all aircraft maintenance documentation is executed in compliance with applicable Federal Aviation Regulations, company policies and procedures, and applicable maintenance manuals. At this base, you will be working on EC130's.

Responsibilities

Essential Functions and Responsibilities include the following:

  1. Performs inspections and repairs of aircraft and components in accordance with maintenance procedures, airworthiness directives, service bulletins, service letters, and applicable Federal Aviation Regulations.
  2. Verifies, by physical inspection or markings on the part, that the part number and serial number match the associated documentation after installation or removal of any component or assembly.
  3. Ensures all aircraft maintenance documentation is executed in compliance with applicable Federal Aviation Regulations, company policies and procedures, and applicable maintenance manuals, including specific chapters.
  4. Participates actively in the continuous improvement phase (level 4) of the company's Safety Management System (SMS) and is familiar with the SMS policies, processes, and procedures.
  5. Maintains a clean and professional work area.
  6. Corrects compliance or safety issues when directed by the relevant management personnel.
  7. Advises the Pilot in Command (PIC) of any maintenance issues that could take an aircraft out of service.
  8. Validates and confirms data in the Status Report concerning the aircraft being worked on.
  9. Requests aviation parts and supplies to maintain an adequate and organized inventory for prompt repairs.
  10. Performs other duties as assigned.
Additional Job Requirements
  • Provide timely on-call availability during nights, weekends, and holidays if necessary.
  • Maintain regular scheduled attendance.
  • Travel percentage: 25–50%.
  • Periodic travel in support of Part 135 operations and company objectives.

Subject to applicable laws and Air Method’s policies, regular attendance is an essential function of the position. All employees must follow Air Methods’ employment practices and policies.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • High school diploma or GED and 2 to 5 years’ related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination.
  • Factory airframe/power plant schools preferred; ACTIVE/CURRENT A&P REQUIRED.
  • FAR 135 operations experience preferred.

Skills

  • Electrical troubleshooting and vibration-balancing skills.
  • Sheet metal and composite repair procedures.
  • Ability to read and understand documents such as 337’s, Service Bulletins, AD’s, etc.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Team player with a professional attitude.
  • Flexible schedule including overtime and 24/7 on-call rotation.
  • Proficient in using electronic or paper manuals and navigating vendor data.
  • Ability to learn and utilize the company’s ERP system (Ramco).
  • Strong communication skills and problem-solving abilities.

Computer Skills

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ramco experience preferred.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

  • FAA A&P License in good standing.
