As the Aviation Maintenance Technician, you will support our P-8A aircraft and mission systems team in Jacksonville, FL. Our ideal candidate will be able to utilize their hands-on P-8A aircraft maintenance experience to assist in the writing and development of training manuals and courseware. In this role, you will provide classroom and over-the-shoulder aviation maintenance training to students in Jacksonville, FL, and overseas; international travel will be required.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting analysis, review, and evaluation of engineering data and requirements to develop and produce customized maintenance products.
  • Creating courseware from vendor source data, Navy engineering support, and Navy logistics teams in support of the product development process.
  • Providing Fleet Integration Team (FIT) training on new software and hardware releases.
  • Assisting the FIT with the development of operator manuals.

Requirements

Education and Experience:

  • Formal education and/or a combination of education and instructor experience is desired.
  • 4 years of hands-on P-8A aircraft maintenance experience is required.
  • P-8A Navy Collateral Duty Inspector (CDI) qualification is required.
  • 7 years of experience as an aircraft/avionics technician is preferred.
  • Master Training Specialist is highly preferred.
  • P-8A Quality Assurance (QA) experience preferred.
  • OOMA database management experience is a plus.
  • Demonstrated experience with task analysis.
  • Experience in NAVAIR 00-25-604 requirements, graphics in publications, product design, system operation, or related fields is preferred.
  • Proficient in the use of Adobe Systems, SharePoint, Cisco WebEx, and Microsoft Office products.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Common Source Database (CSDB) structures, XML data authoring, and publishing software.
  • This position will require the ability to stand for extended periods of time.

Travel Requirement:

  • This position will require 50% travel, both and OCONUS and CONUS.
