Job summary

Motlow is seeking a full-time Aviation Maintenance Technology Instructor in Newbern, Tennessee, to teach General, Airframe, and Powerplant in line with FAA Part 147 requirements and the Aviation Maintenance Technology curriculum. The role requires FAA certification, 3+ years of aviation maintenance experience, and strong classroom delivery with AV tools.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required; credential in Aviation Maintenance Technology or Aeronautical Sciences preferred.
Hold current FAA certification with a rating in Airframe and Powerplant.
Minimum three years of aviation maintenance work experience.
Working knowledge of FAA standards.
Proficiency inspecting, servicing and repairing aircraft.
Knowledge of troubleshooting airframe and powerplant systems.
Understanding FAA approved protocols and safety practices.
Knowledge of proper tool control methods and equipment used to repair aircraft.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and capable of integrating AV instructional tools in classroom delivery.
Ability to maintain accurate student records and grade reporting in a digital environment.
Strong organizational and communication skills with students.

Responsibilities

Deliver instruction for General, Airframe, and Powerplant per FAA standards.
Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with the AMT program and FAA standards.
Establish professional relationships with students, faculty, staff, public, and industry professionals.
Monitor and evaluate student progress in the program.
Engage with aviation industry representatives including the FAA to align resources with workforce needs.
Perform related tasks and other duties as assigned.
