Job summary

Air Methods is seeking a qualified Aircraft Mechanic to maintain rotorcraft, perform repairs and inspections on Bell 407 platforms, and ensure documentation aligns with FARs and company policies.

Responsibilities include verifying part numbers, supporting the SMS program, and communicating any issues to the PIC. The role requires on-call availability, travel up to 50%, and residency within an hour of the base.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and 2–5 years related experience or equivalent
• Factory airframe/power plant schools preferred, A&P license required
• FAR 135 operations preferred

Responsibilities

• Inspects and repairs aircraft per procedures, ADs, SBs, and FARs
• Verify part numbers and serials against documentation upon installation/removal
• Ensure maintenance docs meet regulations and manuals
• Participate in SMS improvements and follow safety policies
• Maintain clean work area and address compliance/safety issues as directed
• Inform PIC of any maintenance issues affecting airworthiness
• Assist with parts requests to maintain inventory for readiness
