Job summary

Sierra Nevada Corporation in Dayton, OH seeks a Material Planner III to align materials and schedules with production goals across maintenance programs. You will guide planning teams, optimize supply chain, and collaborate with engineering, materials, and quality to ensure readiness.

Ideal candidates have 4+ years in aviation maintenance planning, strong FAA knowledge, and experience with maintenance tracking systems.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor’s preferred.
• Minimum 4+ years of aviation maintenance planning experience.
• Strong knowledge of FAA regulations and aircraft maintenance programs.
• Proficiency with maintenance tracking and MRO software systems.
• Ability to read maintenance manuals, wiring diagrams, ADs/SBs.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and cross-functional coordination skills.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Develop, review, and issue detailed maintenance work packages, task cards, and job routings for inspections and modifications.
• Forecast and plan long-range maintenance requirements based on utilization and directives.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Materials/Supply Chain, Maintenance, and QA to ensure parts and data are available.
• Maintain and update maintenance tracking systems to reflect current aircraft status.
• Analyze maintenance program data to identify trends and optimize task packaging.
• Ensure compliance with FAA regulations and company directives.
• Serve as a subject matter expert and mentor to other planners.
• Participate in maintenance program reviews, reliability meetings, and improvements.
• Prepare and present maintenance forecasts, capacity plans, and status reports to leadership.
• Support audits and regulatory inspections with accurate records.
