Job summary

Universal Technical Institute is seeking an Aviation Maintenance Instructor to turn hands-on industry expertise into powerful, skills-first education. If you’ve never taught, we provide paid training and support you as you grow.

You’ll lead immersive labs in airframe and powerplant systems, co-create curriculums, mentor students one-on-one, and model uncompromising safety standards while helping learners of different speeds succeed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 3 years of practical work experience in the field.
• FAA A&P license preferred; if not current, we will pay for you to obtain it.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patience and empathy for learners moving at different speeds.

Responsibilities

• Lead immersive labs where students practice real diagnostics, maintenance, and repair on airframe & powerplant systems.
• Co-create and refine curriculum to stay current with industry advances.
• Offer one-on-one mentorship that builds critical thinking and problem-solving.
• Model uncompromising safety standards and best practices.
• Ignite curiosity and confidence in an inclusive classroom that welcomes every learner.
