Job summary

Universal Technical Institute is seeking an Aviation Maintenance Instructor to guide and mentor the next generation of technicians. You will lead hands-on demonstrations, teach aircraft systems, and foster a passion for aviation maintenance through engaging, inclusive instruction.

You will collaborate with faculty to update courses, emphasize safety, and support student success in a demanding but rewarding education environment.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • 3–5 years of practical work experience in aviation maintenance or related field.
  • FAA A&P license is highly valued; employer may sponsor if not current.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; patient and empathetic teaching style.

Responsibilities

  • Inspire and educate students in an engaging learning environment.
  • Lead hands-on demonstrations, diagnose, maintain, and repair aircraft systems.
  • Develop and update curriculum with education team to reflect industry trends.
  • Mentor students on projects, encouraging critical thinking and problem solving.
  • Ensure safety procedures and best practices in all classroom activities.

Position Overview:

As an Aviation Maintenance Instructor, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the minds and skills of our students. Your expertise in aircraft systems and components will be the guiding light that leads them to a promising career in many different industries. We believe that hands-on learning is the key to success, so get ready to dive into the world of interactive teaching and inspire the next generation to conquer the challenges of modern aviation maintenance technology.

Qualifications:

  • Certifications: FAA A&P license is highly valued, but if not current, we will pay for you to obtain
