Job summary

Ameriflight, LLC is seeking individuals for an entry-level aviation maintenance support role based at Dallas. This position assists installation, maintenance, and repair workers in aircraft maintenance, wiring, and component assembly.

Candidates should be enrolled in an accredited Aviation Maintenance Program for Airframe & Powerplant Certification and be prepared to work a full-time schedule. The role offers benefits including medical, dental, and vision coverage and opportunities for growth.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with installation, maintenance, and repair of aircraft components.
  • Adjust and connect or disconnect wiring, piping, tubing, and other parts using hand tools or power tools.
  • Provide tools and supplies to other workers and help keep the work area clean and organized.
  • Assist with preheating, launch and recovery, servicing, and fluids and towing of aircraft.

Basic Duties
  • Help installation, maintenance, and repair workers in maintenance, parts replacement, and repair of aircraft
  • Adjust and connect or disconnects wiring, piping, tubing, and other parts, using hand tools or power tools
  • Perform duties, such as furnishing tools and supplies to other workers; cleaning work area, machines, and tools; and holding materials or tools for workers
  • Assemble and disassemble machinery, equipment, components, and parts
  • Clean or lubricate machinery, equipment, instruments, tools, work areas, and other objects, power tools and cleaning equipment
  • Help mechanics maintain and repair vehicles, industrial machinery, and electrical equipment
  • Position vehicles, machinery, equipment, physical structures and other objects, for assembly or installation, hand tools, power tools, and moving equipment
  • Assist with preheating, launch and recovery, servicing, and fluids
  • Towing of aircraft
Experience
  • Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, benefits, repair, and maintenance

  • Must be a current student enrolled in accredited Aviation Maintenance Program for Airframe & Powerplant Certification
Requirements
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S without visa sponsorship
  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English and be able to communicate effectively with other employees
  • Must be able to interpret documents such as policy, repair and safety manuals
  • Positive disposition, professional attitude, professional appearance
  • Must meet airport badging requirements, including a TSA Security background check
  • Successful completion of pre-employment required DOT drug screening and other required background checks
  • Must have a valid Driver’s License and meet all company insurance criteria
Physical Requirements
  • Frequently required to sit, stand, walk, use hands to manipulate objects, reach, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
  • Must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks
Work Environment
  • Frequently required to sit, stand, walk, use hands to manipulate objects, reach, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
