Position Overview

The Maintenance Lead performs scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on company aircraft to ensure airworthiness, safety, and regulatory compliance while providing guidance within the team. This role supports line and/or base maintenance operations in a fast‑paced aviation environment.

Key Duties and Responsibilities
  • Perform inspections, troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance on aircraft and aircraft components
  • Act as the first point of escalation for technical issues within the team
  • Consult and follow FAA, manufacturer, and company regulations and procedures as appropriate while conducting aircraft maintenance
  • Complete accurate maintenance records and logbook entries
  • Coordinate with operations regarding aircraft status and return-to-service
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and work area
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable safety guidelines and regulatory requirements
  • Other duties as assigned
Preferred Experience
  • Previous experience with Beechcraft 99 and B1900, Embraer EMB-120, Fairchild SA227, Saab 340B aircraft
  • Previous experience with GE T700/CT7, PT6A, PW118 and TPE331 series powerplants
  • Leadership experience within a fast‑paced, scheduled maintenance operation
Requirements
  • Must hold and maintain valid FAA A&P certification
  • 2+ years of related aviation maintenance experience required
  • Subject to FAA Drug & Alcohol Testing (DOT Safety‑Sensitive)
  • Must have demonstrated leadership experience, including the ability to guide and support team members
  • Must be able to accurately read and interpret technical, regulatory, and procedural documentation to ensure maintenance tasks are performed in full compliance with FAA regulations and company standards
  • Must have strong analytical skills with attention to detail
  • Must have the ability to function effectively independently or as a team member
  • Must have strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross‑functional teams
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • High School graduate or GED equivalent
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship
  • Must meet airport badging requirements, including TSA Security background check
  • Must hold and maintain a valid Driver’s License and meet all company insurance criteria
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, and climb ladders or aircraft structures for extended periods
  • Ability to work in confined spaces and at various heights
  • Requires frequent use of hands and arms to reach, grasp, handle tools, and perform precision tasks
  • Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds regularly and more occasionally with assistance
Work Environment
  • May work outdoors, in weather as necessary
  • May work near moving aircraft and machinery
  • May work in a potentially noisy work environment
  • Use of PPE is required
