Job summary

Ivy Tech Community College of Indiana is seeking adjunct faculty to deliver courses and support student achievement at Fort Wayne campuses. Adjuncts are hired each semester as needed, responsible for creating a learning environment aligned with syllabi and course objectives.

Responsibilities include using technology to enhance instruction, developing syllabi and assessments, keeping accurate records, and engaging with students professionally while adhering to College policies and safety

Qualifications

• Must meet ASOM 7.1 credential standards for the area of instruction.
• Demonstrates commitment to diversity of people, styles, and views.
• Proficient with current instructional technologies.

Responsibilities

• Delivers assigned classes in accordance with College policy and course objectives.
• Makes optimal use of available technology to enhance instructional methods.
• Develops/maintains course outlines, syllabi, lesson plans, assignments, tests, and materials.
• Maintains accurate student records, grades, and other requirements.
• Engages with students in meaningful and productive ways that impact learning and positive Ivy Tech experience.
• Interacts with students and co-workers professionally, complies with College policies and guidelines.
• Ensures knowledge of and implements emergency and safety procedures for classrooms and labs.
