Job summary

Ivy Tech Community College is seeking adjunct faculty to teach assigned courses across the Indiana campuses. You will develop syllabi aligned with course objectives, maintain attendance and grading records, and ensure reachable student support outside class time.

Instructors use Ivy Learn and PowerPoint and must attend all scheduled classes. They should promote diversity and inclusive practices while meeting program standards and accreditation expectations.

Qualifications

• Earned baccalaureate or higher degree in technology, engineering, or a related field from a regionally accredited institution.
• Possesses specialized certifications required for the class and program accreditation requirements, as applicable.
• Multiple routes exist: combination of degree, certifications, and 3–5 years related work experience tied to COR competencies.

Responsibilities

• Teach assigned classes and create a learning environment to support student goals.
• Provide syllabus appropriate to course(s) and follow syllabus requirements.
• Maintain attendance and grading records per College policy.
• Be available to students outside scheduled class time to answer questions.
• Meet all scheduled classes and use Ivy Learn/PowerPoint; notify in emergencies.
• Promote diversity and inclusive practices in all activities.
