Job summary

StandardAero in Miami is seeking a skilled Machinist to perform setup and manual operations on various machining equipment, and to repair engine components meeting engineering specs.

You will read blueprints, verify dimensions with calipers, gauges, and micrometers, and collaborate with teammates to maintain quality and production schedules. Must lift up to 50 pounds and stand most of shift.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience with manual machining.
• 1+ years of experience operating lathes or mills and using measuring instruments.
• Ability to sit or stand for at least 50% of the shift.

Responsibilities

• Machine products to tight tolerances.
• Read and interpret specifications, blueprints, templates and layouts to determine machining operations.
• Verify dimensions using calipers, gauges and micrometers.
• Compute dimensions, tolerances and lay out work pieces.
• Set up machine tools for use by operators.
• Cross-train other technicians to support production requirements.
• Work independently and as a team to achieve maximum quality.
• Carry out other duties as assigned.
