Job summary

StandardAero, Inc. is hiring a Machinist to perform setup and manual operations on a variety of machining equipment and to execute engine component repairs per engineering specifications. You will work both independently and in a team to ensure high-quality outcomes.

Responsibilities include reading specs, verifying dimensions with calipers and micrometers, and setting up tools. Applicants should have 1+ years of manual machining experience and be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of manual machining experience.
• Experience with lathes or mills and measuring instruments.
• Able to sit or stand for 50% of the shift.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Machine products to tight tolerances.
• Read and interpret specifications, blueprints, templates, and layouts to determine operations.
• Verify dimensions with precision measuring instruments.
• Compute dimensions and tolerances and lay out work pieces.
• Set up machine tools for use by operators.
• Cross-train other technicians as needed to support production.
