Job summary

Menzies Aviation in Rockford, IL is seeking a Warehouse Agent to receive/ship and handle e-commerce parcels within the cargo warehouse, possibly airside or landside, and to operate small vehicles.

You will work third shift Sunday-Tuesday 18:30-07:30, perform heavy lifting, follow safety policies, and pass background checks. English proficiency and a high school diploma are required. Applications welcome for a stable logistics role.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience.
• Must have current driver’s license with no violations over the past 5 years.
• Must be able to speak, read, and write in English proficiently.
• Must pass an FBI background check and obtain a custom seal.
• Must be able to lift at least 75 pounds on a continuous basis.
• Must pass pre-employment medical and a drug test.
• *All hires are required to undergo and pass security clearances (10-year criminal background check), 5 years employment and educational verification, drug screen and physical test.*

Responsibilities

• Handles parcels through the parcel handling system, by introducing parcels through the roller system and x-ray units.
• Inspects the cargo at the time of acceptance for signs of tampering, damage, or pilferage.
• Reports any irregularities to the management team.
• Transfers freight from receiving areas to storage or to other designated areas with forklift or hand truck.
• Weighs and counts items for distribution within warehouse to ensure conformance to company standards and air waybill.
• Performs cargo build-up and/or breakdown to and/or from skid, pallets or ULDs.
• Screen cargo through physical search and X-ray screening.
